‘Place of Silence’

I love to walk on the fynbos-rich mountain paths in the Table Mountain Nature reserve, which is within walking distance from my home in Oranjezicht, Cape Town. There’s a route I love to take up the hill to the foot of the mountain and then a loop along the mountain trail to be back at home within an hour. This brings me to a beautiful, quiet place where white proteas bloom with large pine trees and Table Mountain as backdrop. This is the place I captured in this painting. Close to my home and close to my heart.
