Fynbos exuberance: Pink Blombos

As the time for my solo exhibition drew nearer, I found that I worked faster and simplified more. This was the beginning of my Fynbos Exuberance series. I found that I loved the simplified shapes and playful colours that happen when I painted more quickly.

I often paint Blombos (Metalasia Murikata) and here, over emphasized the pink colour of the actual pale-pink variety.
