Orange Pincushion Protea

Pincushion Proteas must be the most interesting flowers –  with pins in stead of petals!  I love the shapes that the overlapping pins create and I often use Pincushions in my artworks.

I created two paintings simultaneously:  This one, as well as Pink Pincushion Protea.  I loved to work in the same theme in two colour palettes.
