Explore monoprinting as art-making medium, using textured items, printing inks and a home-made jelly slab.

Price includes:

    • Art materials for the workshop (Jelly plates; rollers; printing inks; paper for stencils; basic paper for printing etc.);
    • The recipe to make your own jelly plate for future use.
    • Coffee / tea;
    • Lunch;

Optional: I would encourage you to bring your own choice of art paper for your best prints:   A3-size ; 200gms or thicker;  Smooth, multi media art paper.  High quality paper makes for the best artworks. (Optional)


Artist's Thoughts

Full day art making workshop where you will learn to:

  • Use jelly plates to create monoprints;  (I will provide a jelly plate for every student.)
  • Experiment with colours / textures / shapes and stencils using a variety of printmaking objects:  plant material / paper / fabric etc.
  • Enhance your print using a variety of art materials to create a finished artwork.

Please bring textured items for printing, such as soft plants and flowers; lace or textured fabric; paper cuttings, feathers or anything else to create texture or shape in your monoprint.
