Artichoke III (190x190mm)

Artichokes are beautiful! As a vegetable and as a flower.
As vegetables, they are healthy, and their most delicious part is in the centre: the heart. To reach the heart of the artichoke, many layers must be removed.
I always search for parallels between my art themes and us as humans: Our ‘outer layers’ also need to be removed to find our innermost true self. God looks at our heart.
These are monochrome lino prints on white art paper. Every lino is cut and individually printed by hand.
